Church of Vârtop/Biserica din Vârtop

Built in 1791 the Church from Vartop is one of the first Wood Churches in Romania, unique through its architecture.
It is declared Historica Monument and it is located near the Ilioiu forest.
In 1803 when the population was moved from Vartop, Boboci, The Valley of Dambovita, this Church was taken in the West part of the village at Vartop, near the new settlements.



Construita in 1791,se încadreaza în categoria primelor biserici din lemn la români,unică in felul ei prin constructia artistica,declarata"MONUMENT ISTORIC" aşezat sub poalele padurii Ilioiu.În 1803 când populatia a fost coborâtă de la Vartop,Boboci,valea Dâmbovitei,aceasta biserica a fost dusă mai jos in partea de vest a satului,la Vartop,langă noile asezări
